George Petrou

George Petrou is a Greek–Norwegian producer, director, and writer whose work spans narrative films and documentaries. Drawing from a multicultural background, he brings a distinct perspective to his storytelling, often exploring identity and human complexity through a visually driven and narrative-focused lens.

His projects have earned international recognition across major festivals, including selections and nominations at BIFA-qualifying events. His short documentary Tainted by the Visual has received many awards worldwide, most notably winning at NFFTY in Seattle. His latest project, The Lunchbox, has garnered nearly 3 million views across social media platforms, and recently premiered in California, where it was awarded Best Student Film.

With a growing body of acclaimed work, he continues to develop projects that blend strong visual language with grounded, character-driven storytelling.
